There was so much discussion that I don't remember where we ended up on deciding which papers to include.  Are we going for comprehensive (every paper with a species list which looks across agricultural intensities or agriculture vs. a control), or are we selecting a few papers?

Hi Theresa,

Happy to share the list with you and we can discuss this, the other option is to ask you to work on a temperate paper if we can find one. We can discuss during the chat.

As for your second question, you had offered to identify the papers that suit our needs, lets take a look at those a decide whether we need more. If you take the 218, then I will work on the Africa data, or on the plant data. The more data the better, as long as people can commit!

Here's an article that seems comprehensive for an ag system in Iowa - this could represent the temperate world.  That is, we're not actually doing a tropical vs. temperate comparison, but rather a comparison of central America (which represents tropical) and Iowa (which represents temperate).  I like it because it's comprehensive of a region.

I posted the 3 small mammal papers that I found (Olson, Sullivan, Millan de la Pena) to the recommended readings page.

The functional traits that I have thought about for small mammals are:

1) food source: seeds/fruits, insects, omnivore

2) burrowing or not

3) body size (?)

Any other suggestions? I am not a mammal expert...
