I am an ecologist, specialized in integrating ecology with other disciplines to find solutions to global poverty and conservation issues. My main areas of interest include: climate change adaptation, socioecological resilience, and environmental policy intergration. My past work has examined the introduction of agricultural technology on land use change in Argentina, socio-ecological impacts of the Indian Ocean Tsunami on poor communities in Sri Lanka, small-scale climate change mitigation projects in Africa, and the biogeochemical effects of salvage-logging in a subalpien coniferous forest. I am currently working as a consultant for the Rockefeller Foundation on climate change adaptation issues.
