I am a new graduate student at Oregon State University although I am very familiar with everyone in the Horticulture and the town of Corvallis as I received my undergrad here in Hort/Landscape Management. I have a passion for plants and I am dedicated to making less of an impact on our Earth through managing our landscapes in an ecological way. I am more specifically passionate about green roofs (or living roofs, vegetative roofs, ecoroofs). I am currently leading the construction of the infrastructure for OSU's Center for Green Roof Research and I will be conducting my research on green roof plants for the Pacific Northwest in coordination with comparing different components of a green roof. CO2 sequestration is a benefit of green roofs and therefore I am very interested in learning how this can be enhanced and measured.
