I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Toledo - and my academic history includes U. of Washington (where I unknowingly participated in the first DGS), U. of Michigan, and the Smithsonian Migratory Bird Center. My research interests include a) insect community ecology and trophic interactions and b) investigating multiple linkages between agroecology, ecosystem services, and conservation biology. Most of my recent experience comes from working in coffee agroecosystems in Chiapas, Mexico with a brief field season in Indonesia. I am also interested in urban ecology and community gardens. On a personal note - love traveling, cooking, and swimming.
