Extension publications

Posted by Karen A. Garrett at February 06. 2007

Hi All,

We haven't discussed extension publications much since our original organizational meeting.  I've been working on the assumption that we'll prepare them 'on the side', while emphasizing the theme synthesis papers.  People at both KSU and UCD seemed pretty enthusiastic about the idea of writing some extension (or other popular) publications.  For now, I'm thinking about estension publications along the lines of the following (where we will probably get more specific in some cases)

-Introduction to ecosystem services for Kansas farmers (KSU)

-Ecosystem services in vineyards (UCD)

-Introduction to ecosystem services for farmers in the high Andes (in Spanish, maybe other languages) (UCD,KSU,institutions in Peru and Bolivia)

A person at KSU with experience in Brazil was also potentially interested in writing something like this for the Brazilian context.

Are y'all thinking about extension publications at CATIE and other locations?

cheers,

Karen
