website access

Posted by Kimberly N. Russell at January 11. 2007
Hi Ashely. Quick question for you about website access. In your note to students, you mention having them check out the website prior to the first class meeting. Will they need to have usernames and passwords to be able to do this? Or will it be open to anyone? If log in permissions are required, what information do you need to set this up? I ask because I won't have a complete list of students before the first class period due to the fact that students are coming from multiple institutions and the process just takes longer. I will have a partial list.

Thanks!
Kim

Kim--

Just send them to the site and they can log in.  We don't need names or anything.  They just have to register.  The site is listed in the letter, but it's: #

Ashley, is there a place on the website where we can find out if our students have registered, or find out who has registered from a given organization? - Stacy

I don't know if you can see all users. If you have a link called "site setup," you can click it and get to users and groups, but I doubt you have that access. I checked and only saw one definite registrant from UT, but there are 2 non-affiliated registrants, so they might be UT.
